Driving Healthier Outcomes: A Success Snapshot
We first launched our VBA provider networks in 2013, with the goal of improving member health, lowering overall costs, and encouraging greater provider collaboration to achieve more efficient and effective care. While our VBA provider networks continue to expand and improve, we are now seeing significant improvements in care outcomes and cost savings over more traditional models, such as:
- Care-gap closure rates improved by 17%.
- Thirty-three percent is spent on catastrophic care.
- Opioid prescriptions are down 14%.
- Health-care costs are reduced by 6%.
